Fluffed gold-American Goldfinch

A nice Christmas day bird, this American Goldfinch was fluffed up for the snowy conditions today. This bird was in one of the pine trees in my backyard waiting to eat at my thistle feeder. Interestingly, not only are the several American Goldfinches competing with a number of Pine Siskins but also with Dark-eyed Juncos (a species I associate more with ground feeding on millet).
